Drums
Adam Nieting is a talented purcussionist and a native of Asheville, North Carolina. Adam received his bachelors degree in music recording and production through the percussion studio at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University. While there, he was a consistent member of both the Percussion and Tabla Ensembles, the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, and was a charter member of both the Creative Improv at App and Appalachian Taiko.
Adam has also performed with the Blue Ridge Orchestra, the Jubilee Summer Orchestra, the UNCA Wind Ensemble, and various other groups. He has played drum set with several local bands, most notably The Crimson Regrets.
Currently, Adam is a member of the Asheville Community Band and a freelance audio engineer/session musician.
Adam is eager to help drum students of all ages build and improve on technique, musicality, and improvisation. Whether a student is preparing for all district or college auditions, playing kit at home or in a band, or just learning the basics, Adam's familiarity with both popular and classical repertoire will certainly be a boon to your boom.
In addition to purcussion, Adam is also able to offer lessons in Benares style Tabla and beginner guitar.
Note: Lessons on large percussion instruments such as Timpani and Marimba are limited by the space and instruments available. However, arrangements can be investigated if these instruments are your desire.
